What are Tie Buddies and why should you use them?
“Tying your shoes is a small but essential skill, one you use for the rest of your life. These cute, kid-friendly devices act as easy pull-tabs for small hands, taking messy loops out of the equation. The happy characters make a game of it, resulting in a strong knot and even stronger recall.”
What did this mom think?
I think they are great. I played around with them and my boys were interested for sure. I have no doubt these will help my boys learn to tie their shoes. Definitely better than me attempting to teach the old “make a loop and wrap it around method.” I am a fan for sure. Yes, I would recommend them to other moms. They are recommended by Kindergarten teachers everywhere too

I follow you via GFC & I was completely shocked to learn that most kids don't know how to tie their shoes until 9! My middle son knew how to do it when he was 4! Yes, he still ask for help when he has trouble but he can do it most of the tie. He's 5 now and ties double knots.

I follow via GFC and I am quite shocked to find out that most kids don't know how to tie their shoes until 9 or 10. With all the velcroed shoes around, I guess I shouldn't be so surprised!

I learned: When a child won't remove the Tie Buddies® to try tying on his/her own because they like having the cute characters on their shoes but I know he/she is ready for the next step what can they do?
Offer to thread the Tie Buddies® on another portion of their lace.
